Fine seed mix for native finches & woodland birds – balanced, species-appropriate

91 – Woodland Birds is a carefully balanced basic mix for native woodland birds and finch species such as siskins, goldfinches, linnets, bullfinches, among others. The fine texture is based on natural pecking behavior and ensures very good intake, stable energy, and gentle digestion – ideal for year-round feeding and as a reliable daily base.

Strengths of the mix

• Species-appropriate fine seeds: High proportion of millet/panicum varieties, grass seeds, and selected oilseeds for vitality and activity.

• Constant energy supply: Carbohydrate-rich seeds provide quickly available energy for singing, movement, and feather care.

• Very good acceptance: Fine, homogeneous texture – perfect for small beaks and even consumption.

• Flexible use: As a daily base – can be supplemented with germinated food, egg food, or seeds depending on the phase.

Feeding recommendation

• Daily portion: Depending on species and size, 2–6 g per bird daily, divided into 2 meals.

• Breeding & rearing: Supplement as needed with egg food and fine oilseeds sparingly.

• Moulting/Increased need: Occasionally mix in some oily fine seeds (e.g., niger seed/linseed).

• Minerals: Always offer grit/cuttlebone/mineral block separately; refresh fresh water daily.

Composition (typical)

Fine millet/panicum mix, grass seeds, canary seed, depending on the batch small proportions of niger seed/linseed for completeness.

Quality & Storage

• Carefully cleaned seeds for a dust-free, homogeneous mixture.

• Storage: Cool, dry, protected from light; after opening, seal airtight and consume quickly.

• Remove food scraps regularly; keep bowls clean.

After your order
You will receive an order confirmation by email.
As soon as your order is ready for pickup, we will inform you by email or SMS.

On-site pickup
Pickup takes place during our opening hours.
Please bring your order confirmation and a valid photo ID.

Shipping

If you choose shipping instead of pickup, the following options will automatically be available to you depending on your order and delivery address:

Parcel Shipping (DPD or Hermes)
Shipping within Germany. Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and will be displayed at checkout.

Local Delivery (Delivery Service)
Delivery within a 20 km radius for a minimum order value of €50. For orders placed by 11 AM, delivery usually takes place on the same day by 8 PM.

Pallet Delivery (Freight Forwarder)
For larger or bulky orders within a 20 km radius, also for a minimum order value of €50. Delivery will be arranged by appointment within 5 business days.

Please provide your phone number at checkout, as well as any notes such as a preferred drop-off location, so that we can optimally plan the delivery.
