Fine premium blend for turquoise, elegant & blue-winged Neophema parakeets

70 – Neophema Premium is a high-quality, balanced everyday and breeding mix for small grass parakeets of the genus Neophema (e.g., Turquoise, Elegant, Blue-winged, Bourke's parakeets). The recipe relies on fine, easily digestible seeds in appropriate sizes – ideal for the natural pecking behavior of these species. The mix thus supports stable energy, beautiful feather quality, and very good feed intake in daily use.

Strengths of the blend

• Fine-grained & species-appropriate: High proportion of millet and canary seed, supplemented with selected fine seeds – perfect for small beaks.

• Easily digestible: Carbohydrate-rich base for even, well-tolerated energy without being heavy.

• Feather & Condition: Finely dosed oil seeds provide natural fatty acids for shine and shape stability.

• Suitable all year round: As a premium base for everyday use – flexibly adaptable for breeding, molting, and training/flight.

Feeding recommendation

• Daily ration: Approx. 1.5–2.5 teaspoons (≈ 6–10 g) daily per bird, divided into 2 meals.

• Breeding & Rearing: Supplement as needed with egg food, fine sprouted feed, and fresh greens/vegetables.

• Molting/Regeneration: Add moderately fine oil seeds (e.g., a little niger seed/linseed) – use sparingly.

• Minerals: Always offer grit/cuttlebone/mineral block separately; refresh fresh water daily.

Composition (typical)

Fine millet varieties (e.g., yellow/white/red millet, Plata/silver millet), canary seed, small proportions of panicum, optionally hulled oats/buckwheat, and fine oil seeds for condition support.

Quality & Handling

• Carefully cleaned seeds for a dust-free, homogeneous mix and very good acceptance.

• Easy to dose: Feed pure or specifically supplement as desired (seed mix, sprouted feed).

Storage

• Seal airtight after opening and consume promptly.

• Remove food remnants regularly; keep bowls clean.

On-site pickup
Pickup takes place during our opening hours.
Please bring your order confirmation and a valid photo ID.

Shipping

If you choose shipping instead of pickup, the following options will automatically be available to you depending on your order and delivery address:

Parcel Shipping (DPD or Hermes)
Shipping within Germany. Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and will be displayed at checkout.

Local Delivery (Delivery Service)
Delivery within a 20 km radius for a minimum order value of €50. For orders placed by 11 AM, delivery usually takes place on the same day by 8 PM.

Pallet Delivery (Freight Forwarder)
For larger or bulky orders within a 20 km radius, also for a minimum order value of €50. Delivery will be arranged by appointment within 5 business days.
