Robust base for medium-sized parakeets – with sunflower seeds

69 – Large Parakeets with SFK is a balanced everyday and conditioning mix for medium-sized parakeets such as cockatiels, rosellas, red-rumped parakeets, and song parakeets, among others. The recipe combines classic large parakeet seeds with a balanced proportion of sunflower seeds (SFK) – for additional energy, feather shine, and very good food intake.

Strengths of the Mix

• With sunflower seeds: Provides natural energy & fatty acids – ideal in cooler periods, during higher activity, or for condition maintenance.

• Species-appropriate grain size: Homogeneous, clean mix – easy to consume, high acceptance.

• Consistent energy supply: Carbohydrate-rich seeds plus moderately oily components for stamina and vitality.

• Flexible use: As a staple food for everyday use; can be combined with supplements (e.g., seed mix, sprouted food) as needed.

Feeding Recommendation

• Daily ration: Approx. 2–3 teaspoons (≈ 10–15 g) per bird daily, divided into 2 meals.

• Adjust for phase-specific needs: The SFK content is welcome during molting, breeding, or when there is a higher energy demand – keep the quantity moderate if there is a tendency to gain weight.

• Variety: Regularly offer green food/herbs and vegetables; sprouted food promotes activity and nutrient absorption.

• Minerals: Always provide grit/cuttlebone/mineral stone separately; replace fresh water daily.

Selected large parakeet seeds (e.g., millet varieties, canary seed, possibly shelled oats, buckwheat, dari/sorghum)

• Sunflower seed content (striped/light) for energy and fatty acid supplementation.

Storage & Quality

Shipping

If you choose shipping instead of pickup, the following options will automatically be available to you depending on your order and delivery address:

Parcel Shipping (DPD or Hermes)
Shipping within Germany. Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and will be displayed at checkout.

Local Delivery (Delivery Service)
Delivery within a 20 km radius for a minimum order value of €50. For orders placed by 11 AM, delivery usually takes place on the same day by 8 PM.

Pallet Delivery (Freight Forwarder)
For larger or bulky orders within a 20 km radius, also for a minimum order value of €50. Delivery will be arranged by appointment within 5 business days.

Please provide your phone number at checkout, as well as any notes such as a preferred drop-off location, so that we can optimally plan the delivery.
