Balanced base for medium-sized parakeets – without sunflower seeds

68 – Large Parakeets without SFK is the species-appropriate basic mix for medium-sized parakeets (e.g., cockatiels, conures, rosellas, singing parrots), which deliberately does not contain sunflower seeds (SFK). This provides a calorie-conscious formula with excellent digestibility that supports stable condition – ideal for year-round feeding and for birds prone to weight gain.

Strengths of the Mix

• Without sunflower seeds: Controlled fat content – helps monitor weight while still providing sufficient energy.

• Species-appropriate grain size: Homogeneous, clean seed mix – easy to consume and good utilization through natural pecking behavior.

• Constant energy supply: Carbohydrate-rich seeds for activity, playfulness and endurance.

• High acceptance: Delicious mix that is eagerly eaten daily.

Feeding recommendation

• Daily ration: Approx. 2–3 tsp (≈ 10–15 g) per bird daily, divided into 2 meals.

• Supplement as needed: During molt/breeding, supplement occasionally with fine oilseeds or egg food – dose sparingly to keep fat content moderate.

• Variety: Regularly offer green food/herbs and vegetables; occasionally sprouted seeds for enrichment.

• Minerals: Always provide grit/cuttlebone/mineral stone separately; change fresh water daily.

Composition (typical)

Selected large parakeet seeds such as millet varieties, canary seed, possibly hulled oats, buckwheat, dari/sorghum and similar – in a coordinated grain size, without sunflower seeds.

Storage & Quality

• Store in a cool, dry, and dark place.

• After opening, seal airtight and consume quickly.

• Remove leftover food daily, clean bowls regularly.

On-site pickup
Pickup takes place during our opening hours.
Please bring your order confirmation and a valid photo ID.

Shipping

If you choose shipping instead of pickup, the following options will automatically be available to you depending on your order and delivery address:

Parcel Shipping (DPD or Hermes)
Shipping within Germany. Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and will be displayed at checkout.

Local Delivery (Delivery Service)
Delivery within a 20 km radius for a minimum order value of €50. For orders placed by 11 AM, delivery usually takes place on the same day by 8 PM.

Pallet Delivery (Freight Forwarder)
For larger or bulky orders within a 20 km radius, also for a minimum order value of €50. Delivery will be arranged by appointment within 5 business days.

Please provide your phone number at checkout, as well as any notes such as a preferred drop-off location, so that we can optimally plan the delivery.
